Cleanings and exams
A professional cleaning removes the hardened plaque, called tartar, that brushing can't. The exam checks for cavities, gum disease and other problems while they're easy to treat. X-rays may be taken if needed.
Fillings
A filling repairs a tooth after a cavity is cleaned out, restoring its strength and protecting the rest of the tooth. The tooth is numbed first.
Extractions
We recommend taking a tooth out only when it can't be restored, or when it puts the teeth around it at risk. It's worth planning what replaces it, if anything, before it comes out. A bridge, implant or partial denture can keep the gap from causing problems later.
How your first visit works
- We listen first. You tell us what's bothering you and what you want.
- A full look. We review your dental history and check your teeth and gums, with X-rays if needed.
- Options and costs. We walk through treatment options and check your benefits, so you know what's covered before you decide.
- A plan that fits. Your plan fits your goals, schedule and budget, including what can safely wait.
Bring a valid ID and your dental insurance information. Previous records or X-rays help too.
Insurance and cost
Our front desk can review your benefits before treatment, including Delta Dental Premier, MetLife, Guardian, Aetna and DenteMax, and walk you through payment options.

Questions patients ask
Are you accepting new patients? Yes. We welcome new patients and families, and we help with the paperwork.
How often should I get a cleaning? It depends on your teeth and gums. Many people come twice a year, and people with gum disease often need to come more often. Your dentist will recommend an interval for you.
Do fillings hurt? The tooth is numbed first, so most people feel pressure and vibration rather than pain.
What happens after a tooth is pulled? Some soreness for a few days is normal. Follow the aftercare instructions you are given, and call if bleeding, swelling or pain gets worse instead of better.
